The B drive in the W-709 Failed. The cam switch got stuck. So i bought a trash unit on ebay and pulled a deck out of it. It only had one operating deck…. Anyway the surgery was a success

Dis a lot of work getting this recert. There are two decks and they are kind of a standard type generation 1 cassette. 2 head and dolby-B manual tape select makes these deck gen 2 see it here

Did just a little test on JVC tape counters which are real time. Found that they are consistant between machines, and relatively accurate in terms of C-90 tapes. Took a while to get thru this article, but we have it now complete. That is a good thing and i added a video
