Added – Akai GXC-40D Recertify
I went through the process of recertifying the Akai GXC-40D Cassette deck. Even though this is a Generation 1 deck and is not currently in the system, it is the only deck that is ‘as factory built’ so this ‘recert’ is really only a verification.
Adding – Standards
I have added Standards [for connecting test instruments] under the Test section of the website. All Standards will be placed in the section – It will be Test – Standard – Method. There are referances to the sources in the article Also Tape Speed [Cassette] only so far
Added Qview Mag Imaging to Test
Needed to get the Qview Imaging Test written since we have referred to it often in these pages. There is a link to get the product on that page also
Computer Section Added
This section “Computers” will be adding information about general windows systems, website detail about wedpress and other apps including adobe and computers hardware
Adding Open Reels Pages
Started putting in the Menu Structure for the Open Reel pages – looks okay check here
Added – Test – The Fluke 893 A Differential Voltmeter
Added the page about the Fluke being a system standard. This meter is used as a precision calibration referance in the system.

Obviously not possible to set up and test cassette tape decks without standard referance tapes. We have assenbled a collection of “System Standard” cassette test tapes.
