Compact Cassette Blank Tape Testing
On this page is a listing of results of blank cassette tape testing done on my JVC A deck. The tapes were selected for testing because i have them, and they are for the most part still available from various sources as new old stock. Some are even still available as new from retail locations like amazon.

1. This page was done engineering notebook style – Someday in the future it might be added to and typed up in a spreadsheet
2. All the tapes I tested on the JVC’s were similar on both machines, They are spec. Metal tape was not a big plus. Chrome tapes did the best levels.
3. C-120 tape and C-110 tapes run fine with no wow and flutter issues. The JVC is a dual capstan machine and i suspect thin tapes would challange this design more. So 120 tapes are usable.
